Grab a sweet treat and see the museum’s complete Westport history “quilt!” Visitors and scavenger hunt participants will see all 18 of the scavenger hunt “quilt” squares together and enjoy some light refreshment before winners of the hunt are selected.
Prizes include tickets to two Halloween events taking place in October: four tickets to the Museum’s 13th Annual Illuminating the past Lantern Tour and four tickets to our all-new Escape Room featuring a fictionalized story based on Connecticut’s Witch Panic. Winners will be randomly selected from completed packets (at least 13 must be found to be considered complete) that are returned to the Museum by July 29th at 5 pm.
Hidden around town at partner locations are beautifully designed artworks inspired by town monuments, buildings and industries mimicking the quilt style. To find them all, solve clues for the location and answer a simple question about the boards when you find them for a chance to win prizes.
The scavenger hunt is being held in connection with a quilt display being shown in Westport Museum’s Program gallery from June 30th-December 30th. We have partnered with CAMP gallery and MOCA Westport, also showing textiles and quilt inspired exhibits this summer.
Pick up your kit at the museum or by using our registration link here. To access your kit, use the link in your ticket receipt. This link will become active on July 15th when the scavenger hunt begins. Kits are $5 or free for Family members of the museum.
