Each year, Westport Museum hosts several high school interns from our region. These students have a variety of passions, but all share an interest in history and museums. We are thrilled to have five interns this year and will be introducing one of them to you each week.
Join us tonight, June 8th from 5pm - 7pm, to see the new student exhibit "Reluctant Liberators: Westport in the Civil War." Researched and curated by Talia Moskowitz, a rising Senior at Staples High School, the exhibit delves into the profound local sentiment surrounding the Civil War. This exceptional showcase, which serves as Talia's independent study project for the spring semester of her junior year, offers an insightful exploration into the community's historical perspectives.
A brand new episode of the Buried in Our Past Podcast has just dropped. Join us as we unravel the truth about Connecticut's role in the Civil War. We examine the state’s reluctant soldiers and unveil the forgotten heroes who answered the call to arms, exposing the untold truth about their unwavering commitment to the fight for freedom. Available wherever you listen to podcasts.
Lunchtime program TODAY 12:30-1:30
